Mikel Crespo, new coach of VCF Femenino
The Basque coach brings experience in women's football in Spain, having guided Deportivo Alavés to promotion to the top tier during the 2020-21 season
The VCF Femenino striker talked to VCF Media in the buildup to the game against Atletico Madrid at the Antonio Puchades.
“The team are giving their all to come into the game in a rich vein of form. We’re training really hard and well, everyone is contributing to come away with a positive result.
It’s going to be a tough game, but we’re playing at home and we have to be a fortress at home”.
Every time I run out onto the field of play. I try give it my all and make the most of the opportunity they’re giving me.
We strikers live for goals, on a personal note I’m feeling fine but what’s truly important is the group, the team, that’s where we need to start to contribute.
I’m really pleased and happy in Valencia, they’re treating both my teammates and the coaching staff."
